Junior Seau Dies at Age 43

Former NFL Linebacker Junior Seau was found dead earlier today due to a gunshot wound to the chest.  The incident is currently under investigation by the police as it is suspected to be an self inflicted gunshot wound and suicide.  Seau is known as one of the best linebackers to play in the NFL over his 20 year career with the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots.

Seau was drafted #5 overall in the 1990 NFL draft by the San Diego Chargers.  Seau was a 12-time Pro Bowler and led the Chargers to the Super Bowl in 1994.  Seau was traded to the Dolphins in 2003 and then signed with the Patriots after having a 1-day contract with the Chargers. Seau ended his career with the Patriots in 2009 and finished with 1524 tackles, 56 1/2 sacks and 18 interceptions.
