The New Orleans Saints announced Tuesday they had signed free agent Shaun Rogers, defensive tackle, to an one-year contract. The former Cleveland Brown was released on February 9th from the Browns after an unsatisfactory performance during the 2010 season due to ankle, hip and elbow injuries. Rogers also had trouble off the field last season as he was arrested for carrying a gun in his carry-on bag at the airport and received discipline from the NFL. The Browns GM Tom Heckert believes that Rogers going to a good team for the first time in his career could be a good move and cause a turn around in Rogers.
