Knicks Fail Again

The Knicks have been more than a disappointment this season and last proved to be no different.  Last night was the game of the struggles as the New York Knicks took on the Boston Celtics who have also been struggling so far this season.  The Celtics who have been plagued by injuries of its big 4 all season was in a complete force with Allen, KG, Pierce and Rondo all on the floor last night.

The Knicks who were in great need of a victory looked like they might just pull it off but the Celtics went on a run, ending the 3rd quarter on an 11-3 run and then out rebounding the Knicks in the 4th quarter to pull off a 2 point 91-89 victory over the Knicks in the Garden.

Carmelo, who was just named a starter for the All Star game, ended the game with 26 points and 6 assist for the Knicks, and Chandler and Stoudemire both had 11 rebounds with Chandler scoring 20 and Stoudemire scoring 16 points.  For the Celtics Pierce led the way in scoring with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assist.  After last nights game the Celtics are now sitting at # 7 in the Eastern Conference while the Knicks still remain in the # 10 spot.  If the Knicks plan on making it to the playoffs they need to turn things around and fast.
