Pryor to the Raiders

After the NFL postponed the Supplemental Draft to take a closer look at the Terrelle Pryor situation, Pryor was drafted by the Oakland Raiders as a quarterback, that is for now.

The NFL wanted to take a close look at Pryor's situation whom decided at the last minute to forgo his last year at Ohio State after being declared ineligibly able to participate in this years season.  After much consideration the NFL decided to allow Pryor to enter the Supplemental Draft but he would be suspended for the first 5 games of the regular season.  When the NFL gave their decision that Pryor would be suspended Pryor's lawyer reported that they would appeal the decision by the NFL, but later decided not to appeal.  The NFL made it clear that the decision for the suspension had nothing to do with the suspension Pryor would have underwent at Ohio State if he would have been eligible to play.

It was much debate among many NFL analysts whether Pryor would go in the 1st round of the draft.  Some felt that he should and some felt that he shouldn't.  But after running the 40 in approximately 4.3 seconds Pryor ended up going in the 3rd round to the Raiders.  Pryor went on to say, "I'm happy with the opportunity that the Raiders have given me.  I'm going to work hard and do whatever needs to be done to help the Raiders win."

Update: Pryor agreed to a 4 year deal with the Oakland Raiders and be able to practice and play with Raiders for the remainder of the preseason.  Once regular season begins Pryor will not be able to practice or play with the Raiders until week 6 of regular season.
