Jeff Demps Signs With Patriots

What a way to return home from the Olympics by signing a contract with the New England Patriots.




Olympic sprinter Jeff Demps, who won a silver medal in the London Olympics has signed with the New England Patriots.  Demps took to twitter to make the following statement:

"To everyone wondering, yes it's true.  I'm now a New England Patriot.  Glad to be a part of the team.  It's truly an honor. #Godisgreat"

Demps was a running back at the University of Florida and the only Florida athlete to win the national championship for two sports.  The Olympian rushed for 569 yards and 6 touchdowns in twelve games last season with Florida.  The Jets were also interested in Demps.
