Bears Hire Marc Trestman

Looks like the Bears decided to take a different approach than everybody else when hiring their new head coach.

While other teams were looking within the NFL or at the collegiate level, the Bears decided to tap in to the CFL. The Chicago Bears made the decision this morning to hire the Montreal Alouettes' Marc Trestman as their new head coach. Trestman was once an assistant coach in the NFL but has been out of the league for eight years. Marc Trestman, who is known for his skills at training quarterbacks and who work with college quarterbacks on the off season, worked with Jay Cutler before Cutler was drafted in to the NFL. Trestman will bring in former saints interim head coach Aaron Kromer as the offensive coordinator and the Bears have also hired the Cowboys' Joe DeCamillis as assistant coach as well as the special teams coach.
